New York State Police are searching for an individual suspected of fraud at a New York Federal Credit Union. It is suspected that this individual was in possession of and used a false passport while attempting to access an account that does not belong to her.

On Wednesday September 4, 2024 at approximately 4:30pm, according to a post on the New York State Police Facebook page, a woman entered Dannemore Federal Credit Union in Plattsburg, NY. Using a fraudulent passport, this suspect attempted to access another woman's bank account.

Take a look at the picture below. It is a bit blurry but this is what New York State Troopers are working with. This individual appears to be wearing a grey colored sweater and she is sporting shoulder length hair. Is there something about her that you recognize?

Saland Law indicates that the charge for Fraud in New York State varies depending on the circumstances. Fraud between $50,000 and $1 million could get you between 5 and 15-years. Over $1 million and you are looking at 8 to 25-years in prison.
