New York State Police Seek Your Help, Do You Know This Individual?
If a person is caught and convicted of shoplifting in New York State, according to Attorney Stephen Bilkis, that individual could face fines up to $5,000 and potentially serve one year in prison. Most would say the crime isn't worth the time, yet billions of dollars in merchandise are stolen each year from retail stores.
In this case we have a suspect that New York State Police are looking for following an incident at an Upstate New York Walmart. The surveillance pictures below are a bit grainy but if you see anything familiar please call Troop C at 607-561-7400 and reference case #11553879.

On Saturday August 5th at approximately 4pm, a man was seen entering the Walmart location at SR-23 in Oneonta, NY and heading straight to the back of the store to the "Home Section". It is suggested that this individual placed 3 Shark vacuums and 2 Bissell vacuums into a shopping cart and left the store with the items.

The individual seen in these photos left Walmart in a black, late model, Dodge Charger. Officers have reason to believe that the suspect then headed east toward Davenport. Walmart Asset Protection could not identify the male or acquire a registration for the vehicle. The stolen property is worth $1465.00.
