New York Thieves Take Car and Pet Dog, Can You Help Find Them?
An estimated 30,000 vehicles were stolen in New York State in 2022. The Empire State ranks, according to Value Penguin, in the top 10 in the Country for vehicle theft. Now consider what else was potentially lost. Pocketbooks, computers, luggage and anything else that might have been inside the vehicle, including pets.
New York State Police are seeking your help locating a stolen vehicle taken with the owners pet dog inside. Now both are gone.

On Sunday August 6th, based on a post from the New York State Police Facebook page, a black 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude was stolen in the town of Waterloo, NY. The vehicle was parked at the Waterloo Outlets shopping center. Not only did the thieves take the Jeep, they also took a 6-year-old pet named "Glenn".
Take a look at the pictures below to see if either the vehicle or the pet look familiar to you. Have you seen either in the last 24 hours? If you have New York State Police are asking that you call them at 585-398-4100 with any information.
Glenn is a 6-year-old male "Morkie", which is a Maltese, Poodle and Yorkie, mix. Troopers suggest that Glenn weighs approximately 3.5 lbs. Let's see if we can help bring Glenn back home to it's owners, safe and sound.
As for the vehicle, New York State Troopers are looking for a black 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with Pennsylvania plate JWK2417. Again, if you have any information regarding the vehicle or the puppy, please call New York State Police at 585-398-4100.
