New York Gas Prices Lowest Since COVID This Holiday Season

Average gas prices around New York will drop to the lowest they've been in four years this Christmas.

It looks like Santa has brought a welcomed gift to us this year and it comes right on time for the busy holiday season. If you're hitting the road and need to fill up you're going to find the average price of gas around you is less than what it was last year and far below how high those prices reached in 2021.

CNN reports that the average cost of gas in the United States in $3.01 right now and will stay that way through the busy travel time.

Heading over to GasBuddy is a sure way to see where the cheapest gas is in our area. When I checked that out today I found that the current prices in some areas are even lower than the national average that are posted. Some gas stations in Schenectady and Clifton park are well below $3 a gallon, though you may have to pay cash to get that price.

Lowest Gas in Schenectady

Lowest Gas in Clifton Park

Lowest Gas in Saratoga

It appears that the place to get the cheapest gas around the Capital Region is in Schenectady. Clifton Park also seems to have low prices at many stations in that area. Albany remains a bit high, but the highest gas prices you'll find are in Saratoga Springs.

Perhaps this is good news for the next few months if gas prices have come down this far, hopefully they'll come down even lower.
