These Are New York's 14 Brand New Picture Plates

New York State offers a variety of choices when it comes to an official New York State license plate. As a matter of fact, there are more than 200 to choose from ranging from military to sports, professions, you name it. This month the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) revealed the latest additions to the collection.

The newest New York State picture plates celebrate the different regions of the Empire State, including the Capital Region, Southern Tier, Hudson Valley and more. Let's take a look.

According to the DMV, the prices for the latest picture plates vary, depending which one you want. For example, the Western New York plate has an initial cost of $60 with an annual renewal cost of $31.25. If you choose to personalize the plate, that will cost $91.25 up-front with an annual renewal fee of $62.50.
