I just read about a possible reboot of 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' not a sequel to the 2010 reboot, but a reboot to the 2010 reboot, and this makes me angry.

First of all, I would like to fire back at anyone who considers my blog to be unprofessional, because at least I know the difference between a 'reboot' and a 'sequel' and I know that a 'reboot' and a 'remake' are the same thing.

'A Nightmare on Elm Street' was just rebooted 5 years ago, and already someone wants to scrap it and start over, when there was nothing wrong with the first reboot.

Fans of the original had a hard enough time accepting Jackie Earle Haley playing Freddy Kruger, instead of Robert Englund, and now they want to cast a younger actor to play the role, because......?

I am so tired of these reboots, looking over IMDB's list of reboots, one thing that I notice is that most of the movies to be rebooted are cult classics, movies that did not do to well in the box office, but over time they have become more popular then the top grossing movies of their time.

The only conclusion that I can come to is that the entertainment industry has become lazier, greedier, and stupider.

Lazy, because they can't come up with any new ideas.

Greedy, because they want us to buy something we have already seen.

Stupid, because they actually think it's going to work.

If you're tired of reboots like me, then hit them where it hurts and don't go to see their lame attempts to appeal to us by taking our cherished cult classics and pumping them full of money and bad acting.
