P.O.D. Planning to Release Acoustic Album
P.O.D. rock hard, but with the help of fans they'll lighten things up this fall. The band has just revealed plans to record an acoustic disc of some of their biggest songs that will be funded by their fans via a PledgeMusic campaign.
The band says in a statement on their PledgeMusic site, "We originally got the idea after doing a number of radio shows and radio stations asking us to perform acoustic. We were a bit hesitant at first, but after great fan reaction, we wanted to do a whole acoustic album. We've been hard at work in the studio and have already finished over half of the album. We've been having a lot of fun with it and it's got a really raw, stripped down feel to it."
Some of the tracks on the disc include 'Youth of the Nation' and 'Alive,' while they also have a pair of brand new songs they intend to include as part of the collection.
The group members state that they've also "raided the vaults" to come up with some pretty cool incentives that fans can get their hands on depending on the amount of the donation.
Some of the incentives include everything from signed editions of the CDs to phone calls and Facetime with the band to Skype instrumental lessons and even a private house concert.
