Maybe it's just because I grew up in the sticks, but I have a deep love for Pabst Blue Ribbon.   It's one beer that gets a bad rep, even though it is one of the most delicious, and cost effective out there.

If you are looking to save money, and not sacrifice the flavor of your beer than a nice cold PBR is the way to go.  Why does everyone associate this beer with the likes of Busch, Keystone and 'Natty Ice'?  It is far superior to any of those cans of acid.

I am here to make a case for Pabst, and all this confusion and hate.   As a hige cooking dork, I subscribe to Food Network magazine, and in last summers BBQ issue they ranked PBR as one of the best beers to have along side of some of your favorite smoked foods.  If you are lucky enough to be able to find it to bottle form, buy as much as you can because it's rare, at least around the Albany area.
