Tours of Haunted Saratoga Sanatorium Now Available! Would You Enter?
Most people from the Capital Region are aware of the Saratoga County Homestead in Galway, New York but did you know that you can tour the abandoned tuberculosis sanatorium?
The buildings and surrounding property have been the subject of many stories and urban legend over the years. The urge to explore the surgery room, chapel and children's hospital often compels people to enter illegally. Now you can do it legally and help renovate the property to it's past glory.
According to Haunted Nights, the Saratoga County Homestead will hold tours this weekend but tickets are expected to go quickly. Special photo tours are currently available for Saturday June 4th and Sunday June 5th. Check for tickets HERE.
According to the tour website, these photography tours give you access to the basement, first and second floors. Approximately 1 year ago Gina Pelletier of Selkirk took the tour and was kind enough to share her experience and photos. Scroll through the pictures below.
In the kitchen, while trying to find a good setting for a photo, something whispered at me. That made me a little uneasy. I didn’t hang out to find out what it said. In the basement there were 3 of us with 3 different cameras and none of them would work properly at first. Once we got towards the end of the basement, where we go to the first floor, they worked fine. It was a little odd and unnerving.
