Putting Money On The Buffalo Bills vs. L.A. Rams? Not So Fast!
The NFL kicks off with a strong match-up this season with the reigning Super Champion Los Angelas Rams taking on the overwhelming favorite to win this year's Lombardi Trophy, the Buffalo Bills. Quarterback Josh Allen is ready to lead the Bills Mafia to their first Super Bowl title next February, especially with, fresh off of his Super Bowl run with the Rams, Von Miller now anchoring the Bills already tough defense.
The Rams are still stacked with stars like quarterback Matthew Stafford, defensive end Aaron Donald and wide receiver Cooper Kupp, so the match-up should be nothing short of terrific. However, the Rams have something extra on their side that may scare you from putting your coins on Buffalo...
According to our guy Ryan Talbot of syracuse.com, DraftKings Sportsbook put out in their betting report that Buffalo has not defeated a defending Super Bowl champion in the regular season nor the playoffs since 2013. What? Yes, that is correct. Talbot noted that the Bills almost ended that streak last season but lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime 33-27. In 2020, the Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the regular season and in the AFC Championship game. The streak now stands at 0 for 9. Ouch!

Ryan Talbot reported that Buffalo’s last win over a reigning Super Bowl champion came when the team defeated the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 back in 2013. Tom Brady also did his part with the New England Patriots sweeping the Bills in their season series in 2015, 2017 and 2019. Could a victory vs. the Los Angelas Rams be symbolic of great things to come for the Buffalo Bills in February? Perhaps! Streaks like this are made to be broken! Go Bills!
