Why have more than 3,000 brick-and-mortar retailers closed their doors already in 2024? CBS News reports that these national chain restaurants and stores have been forced to close locations, and in some cases shut down operations completely. One reason is that customers are watching every dollar out of fear of inflation.

Sadly another national brand has made the decision to close their doors. In this case, according to Business Insider, it appears that Red Lobster will close approximately 50 locations around the country, including nearly a dozen in New York State.

TAGex Brand, the world's largest restaurant after-marketplace, announced that select Red Lobster locations have closed. On Thursday May 16, 2024 TAGex will hold an auction of more than 50 Red Lobster locations across the country.

Although the Red Lobster site lists the 10 New York locations as "temporarily closed" one would have to assume, in light of the auctions, that these closures will become permanent. See the list of New York locations below.
