Saratoga Race Course Opens For The Season on Thursday!

Does it feel too quick? Well it is much quicker to open then in previous years.

By quicker to open I mean literally opening earlier in the season. If you missed all of the news from this past winter and spring, they will be running a longer meet this year. It will still be 40 days in total, just spread over two more weeks. Still culminating Labor Day weekend this September.

Unlike in previous years, Monday and Tuesday will be off days. Instead of just one single day of the week.

A few things to look forward to though for opening weekend. First off New York Yankee Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera will be on hand for opening weekend. As will the Capital Regions own Madison Vandenberg who is fresh off of a third place finish on American Idol.
