The Capital Region has so many legendary landmark. There are some places like The Egg that just don't change with time. Iconic locations like Empire Plaza, RCA building, G.E. Building and so many more look the same today as  they did when they were created.

What about those other locations that are just as legendary, or simply hold dear memories, that have changed with time? We have plenty of those locations from Saratoga to Schenectady. Let's take a look back and compare then and now.

Recently I took a trip down memory lane as I was exploring locations around the Capital Region. I am talking about places such as Crossgates Mall, the Adelphi Hotel and Storytown U.S.A. While I was reminiscing I became curious to see what each location looked like then and now.

As you scroll through the pictures below you will see dramatic changes with some locations while other destination look very much the same. Some stores, restaurants and venue no longer exist and it is interesting to see what is there now.

One of my favorite places to grab breakfast or lunch is the Colonie Diner. The food is great and the staff is even better, The building at 1890 Central Avenue in Colonie has evolved over the years. Do you remember it looking like that?

That is just one example of the changes, evolution and the comings and goings in the Capital Region over the years.
