See The Interview For Free On Crackle
Let's not point fingers of who did or didn't cave to hackers that may or may not be working for North Korea.
So Sony pulled the movie The Interview, of course they'll tell you the movie theaters pulled it first. This action is being criticized all the way up to the President. So how does Sony recover?
Sony is releasing The Interview, for free, on the streaming service Crackle, reports the New York Post. A brave move? Crackle is owned by Sony, and I'd only heard of it in passing until now. I'd venture to guess that if The Interview does get onto Crackle, that service will see a bump from all the pulled from theaters hype.
Thanks hackers, all you've done is forced Sony to shine a light on one of its other products. Though that product is still on the internet, so we'll have to see if this move sates the hackers.
