Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman founded Slayer in 1981. Known as one of the "big 4" in thrash metal along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax, Slayer first rose to fame with the release of the 1986 album Reign in Blood. Songs like “Raining Blood”, “War Ensemble”, “South of Heaven”, “Seasons in the Abyss”, and “Angel of Death” are considered among Slayer's best. The band has released twelve studio albums, two live albums, and a box set over the course of their career. Slayer's last album Repentless was released in 2015 and it was their highest charting album debuting at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Cheers to Slayer on a killer career! We can't wait to see them in Albany this summer.
