On Saturday July 4th the United States of America celebrates its 250th anniversary. This marks the Nation's Semiquincentennial, Bisesquicentennial, Sestercentennial, or the Quarter Millennium. We just call it our 250th birthday!
What better way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America than to visit one of the best historical small towns in the country. New York just happens to have one of the 10 Best in that category. Can you guess which one it is?

Recently USA Today released their list of the 10 Best Small Historic Towns in the United States. Towns from Delaware, Texas, Ohio, and 2 from Michigan made the list along with just 1 town in New York State. Here are some of the towns that made the list outside of New York.

According to USA Today, these 10 historic small towns, nominated by an expert panel and voted as the best by readers, have small populations of fewer than 25,000 people with big histories, making them fun and affordable ways to dive into our nation's past.
Seneca Falls, New York, the birthplace of the women’s rights movement in the United States, has made the list of the 10 Best Historic Small Towns in the United States. The town hosted the first Women’s Rights Convention in 1848 and is home to the National Women's Hall of Fame.
