A fire broke out at the Walmart on Hoosick Rd in the Brunswick Plaza on Thursday  night. According to Sidewinder Photography, a number of calls came in from both customers and employees indicating a fire on the north side of the building.

Police and fire crews got there quickly and were able to put out the flames, which apparently started in the pet section of the store. Brunswick Fire Chief Steve Willson tells CBS 6 that the entire store has some level of damage:

There is smoke damage throughout the store and we got a lot of water damage because the sprinkler system was going off for a while.

Willson says most of the water damage was to the floor of the store. Firefighters and investigators were on the scene most of the overnight.

Luckily nobody was hurt. It's not yet been determined what caused the fire. Employees, police and fire officials are looking through security camera footage to find out.

Sidewinder Photography was on the scene and reports that multiple departments responded including Spiegeltown, Center Brunswick, Brunswick, and Mountain View.

The fire was contained to mainly one area near the pet beds, but the smoke and water affected most parts of the store.
