If you're like a lot of people right now working from home, or just trying to stay home during the coronavirus crisis, you're probably getting a little stir-crazy.

Getting outside and taking a walk definitely helps, but what if you can't get outside? What if you just need something to keep your kids quiet so you can have ten minutes of peace and quiet?

The New York State Parks Department has you covered with their 360 Degree Virtual Tour of every state park in New York. You can see a 360-degree view of an area in each park. There's also a photo slideshow taken at various locations within it. If you want to plan a trip to one of the parks you're looking at there are brief descriptions covering unique features of each park, along with contact information.

Here's an example from the Indian Lake Islands Campground.

Also, don't forget if you want to visit the parks in-person admission has been waved during the coronavirus pandemic. The hiking trails and outdoor features are open, but any indoor facilities are closed.

According to an article in www.nyup.com the Department of Environmental Conservation recommends these guidelines when visiting the state parks.

*Try to keep at least six (6) feet of distance between you and others you come across.

*Avoid close contact, such as shaking hands, hugging, and kissing.

*Wash hands often or use a hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.

*Avoid surfaces that are touched often, such as doorknobs, handrails, and playground equipment
