At least four robberies have taken place in Saratoga since Saturday (2/19). The robber targeted small businesses including the Xtra Mart and Post Time Wine & Spirits on South Broadway as well as I Love NY Pizza on Congress St. and Super Smoke N Save on West Avenue.

Police also said a fifth robbery occurred Tuesday night (2/23) at Midtown Wine & Spirts on Milton Avenue in Ballston Spa.

NewsChannel 13 is reporting that the alleged robber, 37 year old Justin Rock, was arrested at a home on East High Street in Ballston Spa Tuesday night after the liquor store robbery. He was arraigned and is in Saratoga County Jail without bail.

Based on the frequency, nature and proximity of each crime, police believed they were dealing with the same person hitting multiple businesses. At each robbery, Rock indicated he had a gun, though he never showed one, and demanded cash, according to police. It's not known how much cash he got away with from each location.

He's facing multiple felony robbery charges as well as threatening to use a dangerous instrument.

Limited details of the crimes were made public by Saratoga Springs Police on Tuesday, so it's somewhat surprising he chose to commit another robbery Tuesday night. He just moved south of Saratoga into Ballston Spa.

New York State Police, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, Saratoga Springs Police and Ballston Spa Police all worked together in solving the case.
