The Danes fell 28-6, but showed some awesome signs of potential this season against a team that has won 8 of the last 10 FCS National Championships, including finishing the first half with more total yards. The University of Albany Football has announced that they will opt-out of their two remaining games this Spring season. The decision was made public in a press release from the university earlier today. The Great Danes were scheduled to play at #8 Delaware on April 3 and at home against #16 Villanova on April 10. The team says they decided to opt-out due to "a focus on the health and safety of the team's student-athletes due to the high number of injuries on the roster."
