There are a lot of fun things to do in the Capital Region throughout the summer but this one is not only fun, but it's an adventure. There are paddling tours being offered in two cities along the Mohawk River.

What is the Mohawk River Paddling Tour?

The paddling tours are given in both Schenectady and Waterford on the Mohawk River. The Schenectady kayak tour starts in the new and modern Mohawk Harbor to Schenectady's ancient port.

The Waterford paddling tour combines the locks of the Erie Canal and the Mohawk River. We all know that Waterford's history includes it as a major thoroughfare for travel and shipping through the Erie Canal. The Waterford paddling tour gives you a glimpse of history while traveling through the beautiful islands and the Erie Canal grand locks. Expert guides will bring you through while telling you about the rich history of both cities. Tours are $35 per person.
