Tatiana’s Top 5 Live of 2017
2017 was a great year for live music! As it comes to an end, it's hard to pick which live shows were the best. In the Capital Region alone, we had some amazing live concerts from Red Sun Rising to Skillet to Killswitch Engage and Anthrax to Stone Sour and more! I am by no way saying that my five were the absolute best of 2017, but here are my top 5 live concert experiences this year!

Metallica
A last minute trip to see Metallica at MetLife Stadium with the Q103 Rock and Roll Tour Bus?! OF COURSE! Metallica proved they belong on top with a live show full of hours of hits spanning their career, and solid opening acts with Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat. As James Hetfield said so aptly on stage "It's good to be needed."

The "Half God/Half Devil" Tour
Avatar blew my mind. Motionless in White made me feel as if I was in Halloweenland (as a Halloween fanatic, this was purely heaven). In This Moment was wickedly fantastic. The "Half God/Half Devil" tour made my Top 5 for 2017 with it's amazing lineup and dark, devilish stage production.

Tom Petty
Tom Petty was such a highlight at Mountain Jam this year. It's not the first time that I've seen him live, but it sure felt like it. With each hit he played, I felt like a little kid full of excitement. Little did I know it would be the last time that I'd get to see him live. Plain and simple, he's a legend.

Ghost
Ghost was religiously sinful at the Palace Theater, and I'm so glad I got to be in the crowd indulging my dark side. I'll go to church with them any day.

The "American Nightmare" Tour
Beartooth, Underoath, and Bring Me The Horizon. This was a lineup of three headliners, not just three bands. From the front row in NYC, I got to enjoy moshing, death walls, and all kinds of craziness, in front of giant LED screens and unbelievable rock.
