Tennis Player Andy Murray Points Out A Reporter’s Sexist Question Right To His Face
Tennis player Andy Murray is ranked number one in the world. Unfortunately, though, he lost yesterday in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon after winning the tournament last year.
Understandably, Murray was pretty disappointed in his performance and it showed at his press conference afterwards.
Even though Murray was bummed, it didn't stop him from sticking up for female tennis players when a reporter asked a careless question. The reporter said that Andy's opponent, Sam Querrey, was the first American player to reach a major semifinal since 2009. Murray quickly responded by saying, "Male player," as Serena Williams has reached 20 major semifinals in the past 8 years.
Well done, Andy!
