The Great New York State Fair in Syracuse will take place Wednesday August 20, 2025 through Monday September 1, 2025. Yesterday we pointed you to a clue that was given in relation to the fair's first concert announcement for 2025.

Were you able to determine which artist the clues were for? Many guessed the Steve Miller Band but most guessed Cheap Trick. One of those guesses was correct.

The Great New York State fair announced that Cheap Trick will play the Chevy Court Stage on Thursday August 21st at 6pm. Remember all concerts are free with your $8 paid admission to the fair. Cheap Trick will spend much of the year on the road with at least 2 stops in New York.

  • Monday March 31st they will e the special guest for the Heart show in Buffalo
  • Tuesday July 15th they will be the special guest for the Rod Stewart show at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.

In 2024 the fair hosted 39 National recording acts with the Chevy Music Series with some of the biggest crowds to attend shows in the history of Suburban Park.

  • Megan Moroney played to 47,000 fans - 2nd biggest crowd ever
  • Flo Rida played to 42,000 fairgoers
  • Rick Ross drew 39,000 in 2024
