The Christmas classic movie from 1946, "It's A Wonderful Life" is coming to our very own Bedford Falls...Seneca Falls, NY.

Seneca Falls has long been believed to be the inspiration for the small town, Bedford Falls" in the movie. Frank Capra supposedly visited Seneca Falls while writing the script for "It's A Wonderful Life", which includes references to Upstate New York cities like Elmira, Buffalo, and Rochester.

Seneca Falls even has the same kind of metal bridge that George Bailey is standing on when he meets his guardian angel, Clarence.

This year, the "It’s a Wonderful Life Festival" will bring several actors that were in the film to Seneca Falls, aka Bedford Falls. In addition, there will be a bunch of events centered around the film like a screening of the documentary “The Real Bedford Falls: It’s a Wonderful Life,” a 5K run, exhibits at the Seneca Falls It’s a Wonderful Life Museum, and various autograph signings and meet-and-greets with cast members.

The actors that are scheduled to appear are Karolyn Grimes (who played Zuzu Bailey), Carol Coombs (Janie Bailey), Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey), Janine Roose (Young Violet Bick), Michael Chapin (Young George’s Friend), and twin brothers Donald & Ronald Collins (Little Pete Bailey).

The It's a Wonderful Life Festival" will run from December 8th through the 12th. For more information and to see the schedule of events check out wonderfullifemuseum.com/2021-festival.
