When you think of the Saratoga Race Course, you cannot think about it without a certain sound playing in your head. After tomorrow, it will be a memory.

Well, a memory at least in the sense that the man playing the call to the post will be retiring. It's a somber and joyous day. That a day celebrating the career of Sam The Bugler. If you have been to the track, you know who he is. You know the sounds he plays on the trumpet and tomorrow he plays it for the final time.

On the final day of the 2018 Saratoga season. NYRA will be doing all sorts of things to round out another year as always. One of those things is naming the day's 5th race after the legendary Sam The Bugler.

Will you be going to Saratoga on Labor Day and enjoying the final 11 times Sam plays the trumpet?
