This New York Mets’ Broadcaster’s Tribute Will Bring You to Tears [WATCH]

Every year since 1995, Howie Rose has graced the microphone in Queens. Whether it was television or radio, fans could tune into a broadcast, and hear the sultry sounds of Rose's voice grace the airwaves.

Beginning this week, Rose will miss the remainder of the season recuperating from surgery. This comes on the heels of the legendary broadcaster missing time in April due to an undisclosed ailment. While he has stated numerous times that he plans to return next season, but at 67 years of age, nothing is a slam dunk.

Yesterday was his final day behind the microphone before surgery, and Mets' fans showed their admiration in a major way.

Needless to say, Howie Rose has impacted countless lives with his broadcasts, and the honesty and candor within them. The Mets' broadcasts are still in good hands, but they won't quite be the same until Howie Rose returns to his rightful place behind the mic.
