Tiger Woods flashed some signs of old Thursday and Friday as he was near the top of the leader board for the 2012 U.S. Open Championship, but after shooting a 75 today, Tiger looks like he's prepping for the Q103 Dysfunctional Golf Tournament instead.

It's been four years since Tiger has last won a major, besting Rocco Mediate in the 08 U.S. Open.   Just when we thought were were set to see the famed red shirt leading the charge over the back nine on a Sunday, Tiger started today bogeying four of the first eight holes he played.  We'll see how today goes, but if I had a few Pop Tarts to bet, I'd say Tiger doesn't add to his lofty total of 14 Majors by days end.

Graeme McDowell, tied for the lead, is no stranger to Majors  - the man won the 2012 U.S. Open himself. A two under today puts him one under for the tournament and tied for the lead.  His co-leader, Jim Furyk, was even today. Furyk has won this event as well back in 2003.  Both leaders tee off at 6:10 PM tonight.

The most interesting story of the Open this year is Beau Hossler, a 17 year old kid who is tied for 8th.  Besting Tiger by five strokes today, Hossler ended the day at even par and is at +3 for the tournament.  Sadly, Hossler is an amateur - meaning he can't get paid.  Last year, everyone in the top 20 brought home a six figure check.  The 10th place finisher this year receives over 185 grand while  finishing dead last nets you over 16 thousand smackers.  Not sure what eats at me more - the fact that he shoots better than Tiger and doesn't get a dime, or the "worst" golfer in the pack makes more for  one tournament than I do in six months.  Hmm.

Who do you think wins the Open this year?  Imagine if it's a 17 year old kid, beating the world's best - and he can't collect a dime.
