A friend of mine mentioned to me that he really missed Chick-Fil-A and it was too bad that the only place to get a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich was at the Albany International Airport. Wouldn't it be great to have several locations all over the Capital Region? So that got me thinking, what other businesses do Q listeners want to see open up in the Capital Region?

So, I did the most scientific research I could muster in about five minutes. I put a post on the Q1057 Facebook page asking for suggestions...and man did we get them. There are a few that were mentioned over and over again like Wegmans and Chick-Fil-A. There was also at least one cry for Grandma's Homemade Pies and Restaurant to reopen. (It closed its doors for good back toward the beginning of the pandemic). In addition, a couple of commenters said that they wanted more locally owned businesses, and for the ones we already have, to remain open. I agree with that.  But remember that a lot of chain restaurants are locally-owned franchises. So they might be a national brand, but are locally owned and employ locals.

HERE ARE THE TOP 6 BUSINESSES THAT Q1057 LISTENERS WANT TO SEE COME TO TOWN.

So what do you think? What business, restaurant or service would you like to see open up this year in the Capital Region?

I'd like to see Chick-Fil-A and Wegmans open up Capital Region locations. What do you want? ~Steve
