The 2017 murder of a local teenager is going to the focus of a television show this week.

This Tuesday, this Investigation Discovery television show “Body Cam” is going to be featuring the crime. The Times Union posted about the ID show featuring the murder of 18 year-old Ashley Coltrain in September, 2017 who died while trapped in a fire.  In a tragic story, her boyfriend, who reportedly initially planned to die in the fire, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

The show “Body Cam” according to the Times Union uses police footage from body cameras and looks at true crime cases.  As much as I enjoy learning about true crime, I’m not sure if this is something I’m going to be watching.  Not like any murder or crime is OK, but there’s something so tragic about this case, particularly involving an 18 year old victim.  If you want more info, you can head to the Times Union.
