Valley Cats Open Season This Weekend

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend make sure to head to Troy and watch The Tri City Valleycats open up their season against the Vermont Lake Monsters.

This is a moment I have been waiting for since last fall.  The opening of Joe Bruno Stadium and the beginning of the season for Albany's own minor league baseball team, the Valleycats.

They had a great season last year winning the championship in their league, and going to their games are always a good time.  Plus in this day and age of over priced professional sports, this is a nice break on your wallet.  Fun for the whole family, it would also be a nice spot to spend this Fathers day weekend.

They begin to defend their title starting tonight against the Vermont Lake Monsters and continue a series with them throughout the weekend.  There will be fire works on Friday and Saturday night, and you'll probably spot me out there on Saturday.  It's nice to have a minor league team in out backyard that's affordable and fun!
