Does New York Have America’s Best Looking Police Cruisers? You Can Vote Here
Let's show some Empire State pride by voting for our New York State Troopers in the "2025 America's Best Looking Cruiser" contest.
Nobody wants to see a New York State Police vehicle in their rearview mirror, lights flashing and sirens whaling. When we aren't being pulled over, you have to admit our grey and gold cruisers are pretty cool to look at but do we have the "Best Looking Cruiser in the Nation"?

The American Association of State Troopers is conducting their 12th annual search for the best looking cruisers in America and you can place your vote! The search for the best looking cruiser in the Nation is underway with voting opportunities available until Friday July 11th at 5pm.
The top 13 states with the most votes will make the 2026 wall calendar and, of course, the top cruiser will be featured on the cover. Cast your vote HERE.
The 2022 winner was Kentucky and Florida won in 2023 and 2024. All of the net proceeds goes directly towards the AAST Foundation which provides post-secondary financial scholarships to eligible dependents of trooper members across the county.
In February the New York State Police announced that they are changing the color of their patrol cars from blue to gray. Beginning in 2026, the gray patrol cars will be added into the lineup to be assigned to Troopers across the state.
The new paint scheme features a gold stripe compared to the current paint scheme, dark blue with a yellow stripe. The Department used gray patrol cars until changing them to blue in the 1970s.
