Want to Get Naked in A Cave? Do it at Howe Caverns in Schoharie County

We are on such a cold stretch here in New York State that the thought of changing clothes for any reason causes me to hesitate. Get ready for bed? Let me grab my jacket. Obviously I am exaggerating but there is one event coming to the Capital Region where clothes are not allowed.

The 5th Annual Naked In A Cave event will take place on Saturday September 16th from 6p-10p at Howe Caverns in Schoharie County. It doesn't matter if you are tall or short, thick or thin, this body positivity event is for you if you are 21 or older and are ready to drop your drawers and take a stroll through the caves.

This event won't cost an arm and a leg but there will plenty of those on display. Tickets start at $85 and are limited to a total of 350 tickets. With your tickets you will be offered a complimentary adult beverage and a souvenir robe.

Reservations are being accepted now at 518-296-8900. Payment is due in full at the time of reservation. Tickets are non-refundable! You won't have anywhere to put your wallet that day anyway.

If you want to have dinner at the Naked In A Cave event there will be options at your time of purchase. The 2 dinner times available are at 4:30p and 6p and each time is limited to 60 individuals.

The traditional Howe Caverns cave tour consists of a 1.25 mile walk with a 0.25 mile boat ride. There are also 139 stairs throughout the cave tour.
