Will The Giants Have A Good Season With Daniel Jones Still At QB?
This is a massive year for Daniel Jones and the New York Giants. Jones is on a tight leash as he has had plenty of opportunities to succeed at quarterback for the Gmen. I really like the new GM and Head Coach combination the Giants now have in Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll. Their connection and chemistry in Buffalo should and I think will translate to instant success in New York. Daniel Jones needs consistency and these two will certainly bring it. Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:
Giants Owner John Mara is backing starting quarterback Daniel Jones, but Jones needs a better offensive line to fill any expectations going into his 4th season. It’s another new head coach, Jones’ 3rd in four years, but the Giants better draft offensive lineman or the results won’t be any different. It’s a draft top heavy with quality lineman, and the Giants have to make it a priority. The Giants have playmakers and their defense can hold up, but the Giants have failed miserably when it comes time to improving their offensive line. Maybe this is the off-season they get it right.
MJ and I had a discussion about this on Monday. He is not high on Daniel Jones and doesn't think he is the right guy for the Gmen, while I think DJ will be just fine and needs a good and solid foundation around him. Below is our full conversation on this.
The time is now for Daniel Jones and the Giants. I fully expect them to have a better season than people and their fans are expecting in 2022-23.
