2013 NBA Playoffs Recap: Golden State Beats Denver, 92-88, To Win First-Round Series
Stephen Curry scored 22 points and Andrew Bogut had 14 points and 21 rebounds, as the Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets, 92-88, in Game 6 in Oakland on Thursday and won the best-of-seven, first-round NBA playoff series, four games to two. After trailing 42-40 at halftime, Golden State outscored Denver 33-20 in the third quarter and then held on for the victory despite committing 10 turnovers in the fourth quarter. The sixth-seeded Warriors advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs where they will play the second-seeded San Antonio Spurs, who swept the L.A. Lakers in the first round.
Andre Iguodala scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Denver, while teammate Ty Lawson had 17 points and six assists. The Nuggets had hoped to beat Golden State on Thursday night and force Game 7 in Denver on Saturday.
