
518 Foodies Page Gets Paused After Accusations and Lawsuits
The drama continues to unfold between the admin of 518 Foodies, local restaurants, and dissatisfied users.
It has been one heck of a week for 518 Foodies. What started off as a post about a negative review being removed has escalated into something even bigger with lawsuits being unleashed, accusations being made, and multiple people coming forward talking about their experiences with the page.
We learned on Wednesday evening that the owner of 518 Foodies, Jackie Silvestri-Edwards, was suing the owners of Taste of Italy for defamation among other things mentioned in the suit. It's very clear that these two parties do not like each other and it's getting real ugly.

This entire saga has been a wild ride since Monday when the now viral post from Toni went up. Since her post about hair in her soup went out for the world to see many others have spoken up about their negative experiences with the group and the admins who run the page.
Now, 518 Foodies has been paused.
While it appears to only be a temporary pause until January 31, 2024, this cannot mean good things are coming for the future of this page.
In the mean time there are plenty of other places that Capital Region foodies can use to find great places for food around the Capital Region.
