Is it the flu, a cold, allergies, or the coronavirus? You're not sure and unless you feel worse you don't know if you should get tested or not. Well, now you can get an answer for free without an appointment.

Now adults (18+) that are experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus can get tested without an appointment at the Rite Aid at 1863 Central Avenue in Colonie. This is a change from most testing sites "appointment only" policy.

The testing site just opened last week. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.

The Rite Aid testing location is part of The Baseline COVID-19 Testing Program. They team up with state, federal, and local health authorities as well as other healthcare partners to expand access to COVID-19 screening and testing. This testing is free and your results can be delivered online.

To get tested you just need to be 18+ years old. You need to be able to drive or be driven to the testing site. You also need to sign a COVID-19 Public Health authorization form and lab consent form. That's it.
