High winds, snow, and intense cold is on it's way to Albany over the next several days.

According to The Times Union, a nor'easter 'bomb cyclone' moving up the east coast will hit the Albany area tonight (Wednesday) and Thursday morning with the system having potential to unndergo a process called bombogenesis. Meteorologists came up with the term for meaning that the system's barometric pressure will drop 24 millibars in a 24 hour period. Snow is expected to start falling around midnight tonight in the Capital Region will have an impact on Thursday morning's commute, although 1-3 inches of cumulation is all that's expected in the region. That being said, the storm's track is still uncertain at the time this article is being written. Expect high winds and bitter cold from Thursday night through Saturday with temps reaching a max high in the single digits and 30-35 mph winds.
