BluView Windows located at 2 Computer Drive West in Albany is listed on the Better Business Bureau website with multiple complaints against the company.

  •  "I just want my deposit of $4300.00 returned to me"
  •  "gave them a $900 deposit and never heard from them again about updates on install date"
  • "I have not heard anything back from the company and have not received my $6500 deposit back but I was able to close the account with the 10k hold on my credit."

The list of complaints against BluView is lengthy. In September 2022, Troopers received a complaint against BluView Windows of Albany. The investigation determined that the owner of the business allegedly collected over $35,000 meant to act as a deposit and/or payment from multiple residents for agreed upon contracted work. The work was never started and none of the money was returned.

On April 6, 2023, according to New York State Police, 57-year-old James R. Larkin of Wolcott, Connecticut was arrested for:

  • Five counts of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree
  • Five counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree
  • Nine counts of Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree
  • Four counts of Petit Larceny

Larkin surrendered himself to State Police in Clifton Park where he was arrested and processed. He was arraigned at the Clifton Park Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
