If you have noticed an abundance of 2 wheeled vehicles on the Capital Region roadways this week that is because Americade is officially underway! This year they have a few new things up their sleeves...

Americade, Lake George's Annual Motorcycle Rally is officially underway! The first week of June thousands of bikes and motorcycle enthusiasts make their way through the Capital Region and up to Lake George for a fun filled week of rides, expos, stunt shows, demos, boat shows, food, music, and drinks!

This years Americade has a few changes and new additions. Some of the changes include moving the expo to a more centralized location according to the Troy Record it will be moving from the Million Dollar Beach parking lot, and will be be centered at the Festival Commons space at Charles R. Wood Park, plus two adjacent properties. So that it can be in walking distance from all the festivities.

There are also a few new additions this year like more guided tours, stunt shows, comedy shows, a food sampling, kids ride and parade, and a two day block party!

I think I'm probably most excited for the new block party seeing as I don't have a bike of my own at the moment. This year they will be closing down closing down Canada Street for 2 days, this Friday, June 8th and Saturday, June 9th! The block party will showcase live music on a giant stage, and feature world-class stunt shows, riding demonstrations and fun activities, alongside craft beers from the region. Now that's my kind of party!

If you want to get the full line up for the Americade Block Party this weekend and learn more about the entire rally you can click here!

Also, this is probably a good time to remind you to watch out for all those bikes that are crusin' the roadways and make sure to check your blind spots!
