Capital Region listen up! This is a call to action! The Chipwich is in danger! The beloved vending machine treat with it's vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookie top and bottom, decorated with extra chips around the outside may be taken away from certain vending machines around New York State. Could yours be next? First the Chipwich then what? Milky Way? Over our dead bodies!

New York State Assemblyman, Mark Walczyk recently crafted a plea to Department of Health regarding the New York Sate Bill S458 also known as the Healthy Vending Act. The bill, which is currently in committee, is designed to require a percentage of food in vending machines on state property to be healthy. If it becomes law, this could spell the end of the Chipwich, Skittles or trail mix!.

Concerned citizen and The Capital Pressroom's David Lombardo joined the fight and is to be commended in his efforts to save the Chipwich from State Capital vending machine extinction.

I decided to examine the vending machine here at the radio station. To be honest I haven't purchased anything out of this in a year but if I could only save 3 items, what would they be?
