Bigfoot Statue Gives Notoriety to Whitehall
A 1,000-pound statue of Bigfoot is drawing attention in Whitehall, NY.
According to the Saratogian, thousands of people have been stopping to see the giant Bigfoot statute off Route 4 in Whitehall in front of Marble, Granite, Slate and Soapstone Company. Store owner Paul Thompson had the statue created to draw attention as Whitehall has a history being well-known for it's Bigfoot sightings. Thompson said that "Even police have reported encounters with Bigfoot. People in the area are Bigfoot believers." Rather than standing upright, the giant Bigfoot statue looks as if it's ready to run across the road. He also is wearing a red Santa cap for the time being, as everyone gears up for the holidays.
