
Breaking: Car Accident in This Capital Region Town Causes Brush Fire And Road Closure
BREAKING! TRAFFIC ADVISORY! According to a post on the Selkirk, New York Fire Department Facebook page, River Road is blocked from Glenmont Road to Smultz Road by an accident with power lines down across the road with a brush fire.
This incident first became public at approximately 2:30pm on Tuesday March 18th. Crews are reported to be on the scene. Check back for updates.

This accident comes at a time when New York State, specifically the Capital Region, is at a High Risk for fire danger. Earlier today Selkirk Fire Department reminded residents that there is a burn ban in effect throughout New York State through May.
