An urgent care center in the Capital Region is closing it's doors.

According to The Times Union, the urgent care center in Niskayuna run by the Community Care Physicians group, is closing its doors. The announcement came Monday with the news that services and hours will now be expanded at the Latham location at 711 Troy-Schenectady Rd. Albany Medical Center just opened a massive three-story urgent care center in the area 16 months ago, which may have contributed to the closing. The closure goes into effect Wednesday. Joan Regan Hayner, chief operating officer at the Physicians' group said that the closure will allow Community Care Physicians to expand services and offer longer hours at it's Latham site. She also suggested that anyone who used the Niskayuna site to consider using the Latham site in the future. Hours of operation at Latham site are Monday through Friday 9am to 11:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 7:30pm.

How will the closing of the Niskayuna urgent care location affect you? Have you used that location before?
