Capital Region’s First Snow Sightings Have Begun
Ready or not here it comes ...
Well, we all knew it was going to be coming sooner or later however I think we all secretly hope it will be the later. Don't get me wrong I think it would be a bit odd of we got to the holidays and were still without snow but there is always that transition period every year where you have to start getting used to it again.
From the looks of things we might be transitioning soon! At least on the outskirts of the Capital District. The TU is reporting that the National Weather Service says that the Adirondacks could see up to 8 inches of snow tonight and 1-3 inches in the Catskills and Northern Berkshires.
Don't think if you are closer to Albany than the mountains you are in the clear though. Heavy rain is expected to fall until the early morning and we could see some fat snowflakes could mix in! Accumulation is unlikely but we have seen some videos floating around of snow falling in spots like Broadalbin so I wouldn't be surprised if it's for real time to bust out the hats, gloves, and boots for the season.
Are you ready for winter to officially arrive in the Capital Region?
