Vandenburgh Avenue was closed for a lengthy amount of time between North Drive and Morrison Avenue as police investigated.

NewsChannel 13 reports there were people in the home at the time, but nobody was injured. The driver who crashed into the house was taken the hospital with serious injuries, but no word on that person's current condition.

No word on what caused the accident, but as can be seen in the photos, roads may have been slick from a couple pockets of rain that popped up in the late evening  hours.

The home is located at a busy Troy intersection next to the entrance to Hudson Valley Community College.
