Let's all bow to the music Gods as we welcome Chiodos back into the mix! After almost exactly four years, member changes and an album, Craig Owens is back to fronting the Michigan sextet and they are on the fast track to a new album which is currently being recorded at Dreamland Studio in Woodstock, NY.

The group are putting their efforts toward a fourth studio album and first with Owens since 2007's Bone Palace Ballet, which reached the No. 5 spot on the Billboard 200. It will follow 2010's Illuminaudio, which was recorded with Brandon Bolmer who fronted the band for two years. David Bottrill will act as producer.

The immediate details of the upcoming album, including its name, are not yet known, but it is expected to drop some time next year.

Joining Owens is original drummer Derrick Frost.

In regards to the up and coming album, Owens comments:

We’re excited to be working with Dave Bottrill on this new Chiodos record. Some of the records he’s done have influenced the band and helped us define what we’ve become. Muse, Tool, and Silverchair are all at the top of our list, and it’s amazing to be working with someone that’s already been a part of our history, indirectly. So for the next two months, we’ll be hiding out in the woods of upstate N.Y., in a hollowed out church-turned studio — creating what is to be the next chapter of this crazy Chiodos journey.

Erak (new guitarist) adds, I personally am excited to start my journey with the band, in regards to songwriting. This album should give me a new area to peruse in terms of guitar work.

In between his time with Chiodos, Owens, for a short time, fronted the band D.R.U.G.S, which has since disbanded and dissolved. The remaining members have since reunited and are planning on releasing a new album under a new name.

A Chiodos tour will ensue, with the European leg running in November and hopefully they will hit the states early next year. I know I'm ready, are you?
