The simple answer is, 'yes.' Is it a long shot that the Giants will actually be in a position to add the quarterback in pursuit of Super Bowl victory #8? Of course it is but this is sports, so never say never. On Monday, the far-fetched dream of TB12 playing for Big Blue maybe stayed alive, just a little. On his SiriusXM show “Let’s Go!”, co-host Jim Gray asked Tom Brady about the possibility of returning to football. Now it's Tom Brady's show. Jim Gray isn't asking ANY questions that Tom doesn't want to field.

According to Ryan Glasspiegel of nypost.com, Brady was asked by Gray, “[Michael Jordan] came back. Muhammad Ali came back. Mike Tyson came back. So inevitably some quarterback’s going to get hurt or not perform at the level and it’s gonna start in July in training camp. It’s gonna go again in September and probably again in October and November. How are you gonna entertain those thoughts? And would you ever consider that?”

With little surprise, the G.O.A.T. responded, “You know, I’m just gonna take things as they come. I think that’s the best way to put it and I don’t think anything, you know, you never say never. At the same time I know that I’m very, I feel very good about my decision. I don’t know how I’ll feel six months from now, (if it will) change, it most likely won’t. But I try to make the best possible decision I can in the moment, which I did this last week.”

Wow, is the quarterback having second thoughts about a decision he made a week ago? Not really but he certainly seems to be leaving the door open. "And, again, I think it’s not looking to reverse course, I’m definitely not looking to do that,” Brady continued. “But in the same time I think you have to be realistic that you never know what challenges there are gonna be in life. Again, I loved playing. I’m looking forward to doing things other than playing. That’s as honest as I can be with you there, Jim.”

How could Brady end up on the Giants? Well, Big Blue or any other NFL team will have to give something up for TB12"s contractual rights to Tampa Bay. That one is pretty simple. Why would Tom Brady ever want to play for the Giants? For one, the lure of New York City, the Big Apple. Despite the lack of championships, New York is still the sports mecca of the world. Could Tom Brady save New York football for an encore? That may be a challenge he would relish. It is certainly fun to think about.
