The other day, all of us DJ's received an e-mail with blogging guidelines per corporate and they BANNED ellipses! ... deh deh deh...

Ellipses are those three dots that a writer would use after an ongoing thought... yes, these...  I, as well as some of my fellow DJ's were shocked!  I use these ellipses ALL of the time, although I never even knew that they had a name up until that e-mail...  After some deliberation, I decided that maybe I could and should go without anyway.  These ellipses are one of the many signs of our culture changing our English language... for example, when you read literature from the 18th century, the language is very much different than today... it seems to be constantly evolving.  Evolution is generally a good thing, but recently there has been a lot of negative evolving... like the incessant use of ellipses.  Ellipses were thought up as a means to allow the reader to use their own imagination to finish a writer's thought and were meant to be used sparingly.  With this generation of Facebook and Twitter, we may be beginning to lose intelligent written English language and the ability to form full and complete thoughts.

Anyway, I just wanted to say kudos to corporate for banning ellipses... we'll start with the most intelligent of peoples, radio DJ's, (lol) and work our way down the chain of internet writers using ellipses... banning them along the way.

The real reason of this blog is that I just wanted to use ellipses one last time to say goodbye...

Yes, sadly, this cat uses ellipses regularly.
