Empire State Plaza Lights Up the Tree Tonight in Albany

Tonight Albany hosts it's tree lighting ceremony at the Empire State Plaza and follows it up with a fireworks display and a rock show!

If you are ready to jump right into the magic of the holidays and really get into the spirit of things, tonight in Albany the Empire State Plaza's Tree Lighting Ceremony is going on.

All day the Plaza is hosting a series of fun holiday events including free ice skating and skate rental, opportunities to meet Santa Clause, and caroling all leading up to the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:15. The festivities don't stop after the tree is lit either, once the greenery is a glow they are going to light up the sky with a holiday fireworks display.

When the smoke clears you can then get in on the rock and skate event where you can do a little ice skating at the Empire Skate Plaza and rock out with Moriah Formica who will be playing a couple of sets between 6pm and 8pm!
